Travel Package - Hotel Hampi International (3 Days)


Day 1

Pick up from railway station or bus station drop to hotel.

Hampi Sightseeing:


1) Virupaksh Temple: Virupaksha Temple designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site is located in Hampi in the Vijayanagara district. It is part of the Group of Monuments at Hampi The temple is dedicated to Lord Virupaksha, a form of Shiva.

2) Big and Small Ganesh: SasivekaluGanesha Temple is a huge statue of Lord Ganesha, carved out of a single block of rock. It is one of the major landmarks in Hampi. SasivekaluGanesha is about 8 feet (2.5 metres) tall.

3) Sri Krishna Temple: 16th-century temple ruins with elaborately carved stone pillars & towers & a sacred water tank.

4) Badavailinga: Ancient temple featuring a shrine & pedestal with a Hindu linga, surrounded by a pool of water.

Lakshmi Narasimha Temple: The speciality of the sculpture is that it is the largest monolith statue in Hampi.Narasimha is sitting on the coil of a giant seven-headed snake called Sesha.

5) Sisters Stone (Akka Tangi Gudda, Hampi): A Wonder Formed by Rock : is a formation of two gigantic rocks. It is located at Kaddirampura, just near the main road that leads from Hampi to Kamlapur. It is a natural arrangement of rocks that have been standing at the site from ancient ages.

6) Underground Shiva Temple: Remains of a 14th-century Hindu temple built below ground level with pillared halls & a courtyard.

7) Lotus Mahal or Chitrangini Mahal: It is an important secular structure in Hampi, India. The Lotus Mahal is an example of Vijayanagara style of architecture and is a two storied structure built in Rubble masonry and finely plastered. The structure was used as residue place for royal family of the Vijayanagara Empire.

8) Elephant Stables: Indo-Islamic style structure used as the stables for the royal elephants of the Vijayanagara Empire.

9) Watch Tower: It is one of the security sources during the reign of Krishnadevaraya. It is specially meant for the guards to quarantine the Royal palace. Watch Towers can be spotted at many areas in Hampi. These towers play a dual role, one for the military usage for the guards and as a vantage point for the Royal Ladies. It has nice architecture and many interesting carvings. These watchtowers are located at the periphery of the royal palace or other royal architectures

10) MahanavamiDibba: MahanavamiDibba or The House of Victory is a beautiful stone platform situated inside the Royal Enclosure in Hampi. It is also known as Dasara Dibba and is one of the most impressive structures to be visited during your Hampi Trip.

MahanavamiDibba was built by King Krishnadevaraya in 1513 AD after his conquest over the kingdom of Udayagiri, present-day Orissa. The grand platform was used as a stage by the kings to watch the army march past, the war games, and the royal procession that were held during the Mahanavami festival, also known as the Dasara festival, hence the name MahanavamiDibba. It is one of the most fascinating Hampi tourist places.

11) Pushkarani: It is sacred water reservoir for religious rituals & functions

12) Queens bath: Queens bath for some mysterious reasons this was called as the queen’s bath. But in all probability this was a royal pleasure complex for the king and his wives.

Lunch break

13) Stone Car /Chariot: It is an iconic monument located in front of Vijaya Vittala Temple in Hampi, central Karnataka. Hampi is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Stone Chariot is a shrine dedicated to Garuda, the official vehicle of Lord Vishnu. Stone Chariot in Hampi is one of the three most popular stone chariots in India. Other two are in Konark (Odisha) and Mahabalipuram (Tamil Nadu).

14) The musical pillars: The large Ranga Mandapa is well known for its 56 musical pillars. These pillars are also known as SaReGaMa pillars, which are attributed to the musical notes emerging out of them. The pillars produce musical tones when struck with a thumb. It sounds like bells ringing.

15) King’s balance: This 5-meter or so tall ‘balance’ is located near the Vittala temple. Also called as Tula Bhara or Tula Purushadana, the king used to weigh himself with gold, gems, silver and precious stones, and distributed to the priests.

16) Sunset point, Hampi Hippie Island: The sunset point is located on the Hippie island and is the compulsory place to be around sunset. Reason being that there is a whole different vibe that goes on around sunset there. Just a few minutes of hike would lead you to this amazing spot. The climb is really easy and costs nothing.

Day 2

Pick up from hotel after break fast (Start Time : 7 am - 8:00 am)

Badami Sightseeing:


1) Banashankari temple : One must not miss this if visiting Badami. The idol of goddess is very nice and beautiful. There is a huge water tank in front of the temple. There are steps to go down near the water from all the sides. It is nice piece of architecture. Also look for the huge stone and wooden Rath on the open ground near the market.

2) Badami caves: 23 km from Pattadakal is Badami that occupies an important place in the heritage history of Karnataka. Badami is picturesquely nestled at the mouth of a ravine between two rocky hills. The exquisite sculptures and sandstone cliffs of Badami bring forth many a tale from the yesteryears. Four rock-cut caves adorned with ancient carved pillars and bracket figures cut out of red sandstone is just a flight of steps away. The caves overlook the Agastya Theertha Lake, its banks dotted with a group of Bhutanatha Temples

3) Pattadakal: Pattadakal, also called Paṭṭadakallu or Raktapura, is a complex of 7th and 8th century CE Hindu and Jain temples in northern Karnataka.

4) Aihole: Aihole was once the capital of the Chalukya Dynasty, and is a city with a rich and illustrious history. It has great cultural significance as the cradle of Hindu temple architecture, and has more than 125 temples in and around it. Aihole is an archaeologists' delight with several temples dating back to Chalukyan times.

Back to hotel - Return around 7 pm to 8 pm

Day 3

Pick up from hotel after breakfast (Start Time : 9:30 am)

After breakfast: Anegundhi Sightseeing


1) Hanuman Temple: This hill in Hampi believed to be the birthplace of Hanuman, is located in the center of Anegondi area. You can see this hill from the Hampi side of the river as you trek along the KampaBhups’s Path.

At the top of the hill is the temple dedicated for Hanuman, the monkey warrior god. According to Hindu mythology he was born to Anjana. Thus Hanuman is also known as Anjaneya and his birthplace as Anjaneyadri (Anjaneya’s hill).

2) Pampa Sarowara Lakshmi temple: Pampa Sarovara is a lake in Koppal district near Hampi in Karnataka. To the south of the Tungabhadra River, it is considered sacred by Hindus and is one of the five sacred sarovars, or lakes in India.

3) Durga temple: Maa Durga Temple in Anegundi, Hampi is a beautiful site with colourful clothes hanging from the tress tied by people for blessings. This is one of the top Hampi temples located on Hippie side. Vijayanagara kings used to worship in the temple before every battle.

Key attraction of the temple is the stone that revolves in clockwise direction when you put your hands on it. Actually it does not revolve for all. So, you have to put your both hands on the stone, close your eyes and wish something. Stone will revolve only if your wish would be granted and to our surprise, it revolved for some (means wish granted) and did not revolve for some unlucky fellas.

4) Nava Brindavana: It is located on an island in the Tungabhadra River at Anegundi, near Hampi, Karnataka, India. The Bruindavanas of nine Hindu Madhva saints present in Nava Brindavana belongs to the Uttaradi Math, Vyasaraja Math and Raghavendra Math.

5) Lake and boating: To reach Anegundiyou can take boat from behind the Virupaksha temple on the banks of the Tungabhadra river. It takes only five minutes to cross over on the other side which is Anegundi. The landscaping of this place is beautiful There is a man made lake and the coracle ride is worth experiencing.
