Check Oxygen levels: Covid introduced us to the concept of Oxygen checking. Leh will reinstate this concept again as lowering of oxygen level is common with symptoms of drowsiness, breathlessness, puckish and headache. If needed take medical help and even could go to a lower altitude.
Consult a doctor: It is a good idea to consult your doctor about the condition of all the members travelling to Leh, especially if you have elderly people and children with you. Additionally, keeping the general medication along with medicine for altitude sickness is essential.
Plan your days on the trip moderately: Do not stuff your days with sightseeing and other activities which you might do in other locations. Always keep the activity level moderate as your body is going to face the climate for the first time.
